iOS 7 Official Release Date is September 18

As of this writing, Apple's highly anticipated iPhone 5S event has already commenced. However, Apple is not about to get into the very best stuff yet which is of course the announcement for the new iPhones. As per usual, Tim Cook went through the usual wave of statistics saying that Apple is in fact doing great. After a while, Craig Federighi took the stage and discussed about iOS 7.

iOS 7 beta 7

Federighi shared most of the functionality that are included in iOS 7 including Control Center, Notification Center, Camera, Multitasking and many others. If you have been using the iOS 7 for the duration of the beta, none of these feature discussed are unknown, so it's basically a rundown of the things we already know about iOS 7. Perhaps the most interesting thing discussed during Federighi's time on stage is the official public release of iOS 7 which falls on September 18th.

That's right folks, September 18 is the release date of iOS 7. So it looks like the rumors that it will be officially released today are wrong. Presumably, Apple will be seeding iOS 7 GM to developers right after the iPhone 5S event, but that remains to be seen. Just a week more folks.
