As far as iOS 7 supported devices go, the only device that runs on the old A4 chip is the iPhone 4. So in terms of performance on iOS 7, the iPhone 4 leaves a lot to be desired. However as it stands, it is currently the only device that is still vulnerable to the LimeRa1n bootrom exploit. This makes the iPhone 4 to be essentially jailbroken for life. So this means that the iOS 7 jailbreak for iPhone 4 is just around the corner right?
Well, apparently it is! BigBoss (the essential default repository in Cydia) has heard around the grapevine that the iOS 7 jailbreak for iPhone 4 is coming.
Looks like ios7 iphone 4 tethered jb is coming.

However, this is not the jailbreak that everyone is looking forward to as it is a tethered solution. For an untethered jailbreak to be possible, a new set of userland exploits must be discovered first. When that happens though, it is likely that all iOS 7 supported devices will be jailbroken. This is the jailbreak that the Evad3rs team is going for, and fortunately, they seem to be making some good progress.
This is definitely good news for those who updated their iPhone 4 to iOS 7. But as stated by iH8sn0w, major jailbreak components such as Cydia, MobileSubstrate, and WinterBoard are currently broken in iOS 7. So it will take a long while before everything is sorted out. iPhone 4 users are better off waiting for the iOS 6.1.3 untethered jailbreak instead.Contact Us for News Tips, Corrections and Feedback
