In order to showcase the raw power of the iPhone 5s, Apple previewed Infinity Blade III Reborn, the sequel to the ever successful franchise by Chair Entertainment. During the keynote however, not many details were given regarding the game, especially the release date. Fortunately, Chair has recently released more details about Infinity Blade III including its release date, which falls on September 18th, the same day iOS 7 will be released.
Infinity Blade III is being referred to by Chair as the ‘conclusion of the trilogy’ but it seems that the franchise will be going out with a bang. New gameplay concepts and characters will be introduced in the third installment. In addition to playing Siris, the hero of the first two games, players can also play as Isa, a character introduced in the second game. The good thing is that each character will have their own fighting style and a separate set of collectible armor and weapons.
The main story is still kept under wraps but by judging the trailer, the series' lore and characters will be given more emphasis than ever. If you have played the first two games to exhaustion, you will certainly notice the subtle sci-fi elements. In the third game, it seems the game is geared more toward a new sci-fi flavor. Watch the debut trailer below.
Coming September 18, it looks like iOS gamers will be treated to another quality game. And just to shun your worries, Infinity Blade III Reborn will remain a premium game with a price tag of $6.99 upon release. For supported devices, you will be happy to know that it's compatible with the Phone 5s & 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPad 4, iPAd 3, iPad 2, iPad Mini, iPod touch 5 and iPod touch 4.
