This has been a big month for Apple with the release of iOS 7 and the two new iPhones, the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. To celebrate iOS 7 and the two new iPhones, developer NotCom has seen it fit to release a new version of TinyUmbrella. Download TinyUmbrella 7.00.00 for Mac and Windows to save iOS 7 SHSH blobs for all iDevices including iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.
In an official blog post by NotCom:
Thank you for your patience!
I just updated TU for the 4 new iPhone 5* devices. TU supports saving SHSH for iOS 7 and 7.0.1 (for the new devices about to be released).
Perhaps eventually we'll be able to restore to these firmwares using local SHSHs but remember that currently local restores are primarily for older devices (non a5 devices and lower!).
It's true that the usefulness of saving SHSH blobs has become less significant over time. However, there is always the possibility that a new exploit will be discovered that will allow firmware downgrades again. Therefore, it is always a good practice to save your SHSH blobs whenever you can. Of course, aside from being able to downgrade, you can also re-restore to the same firmware you are currently running using SHSH blobs even if Apple has stopped signing it. So be sure to save iOS 7 SHSH blobs now.
