Back in 2009, PopCap Games released a charming little game called Plants vs. Zombies. With its quirky graphics, great humor, and more content than other games in the same genre, the game became a worldwide hit. The following year, the iOS received a lovely port of Plants vs. Zombies, and it also became one of the best games for the platform. And now, we are happy to inform the fans of the first game that the much anticipated sequel, Plants vs. Zombies 2 is hitting the App Store tomorrow.
For those who have been keeping track of the franchise, you would know that Plants vs. Zombies 2 had a soft launch in the New Zealand and Australian App Stores. If you were not able to contain your excitement for the sequel, you would have certainly made an account for either stores and played the game that way. However, it seems that PopCap Games is ready for the game's worldwide release, according to the App Store's Official Facebook page.
The complete title of the game is Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time! which is sort of clever because it involves time travel. Regardless of the wacky storyline that they come up with, we know that it's just an excuse so players can travel to different time periods and locales, and meet all-new zombie types. The game will come to the App Store for free, following the dreaded freemium business model.
I've had my fair share of playing the game (yes I am one of those impatient fans) and trust me when I say that everything can be unlocked simply by playing the game. You just need to put some time into it. Fans will surely be delighted since the game is packed with new levels, new power-ups, new challenges, new zombies, and of course, new plants to kick their asses with.
Just a day more and you can play Plants vs. Zombies 2 for free. [via CultofMac]Contact Us for News Tips, Corrections and Feedback
