We have seen tons of leaked images and videos, and whispers, so people know it's coming alongside the iPhone 5S. With that said, many are wondering just how affordable the iPhone 5C will be once it hits the stores. According to a new report, the price of the budget iPhone may not be as affordable as most people expect.

PhoneArena has managed to get their hands on some nifty high-quality images of iPhone 5C's back housing. But more importantly, the website has acquire some interesting info on the price of the upcoming budget iPhone. Citing the posts on Chinese microblogging site Sina Weibo, the starting price for the iPhone 5C is allegedly going to be 3000 yuan off contract which is roughly $490. If this turned out to be true, this would make the device more expensive that the iPhone 4 without a contract. This would also make the price fall closer to high-end phone pricing rather than being a mid-range priced device.

Many folks are saying that they don't actually want the iPhone 5C but this might turn out to be a crucial launch for the Cupertino company. While Apple has remained strong in the United States in terms of market share, the same can't be said with the European and Asian markets.
