Based on past rumors, many folks believed that Apple will release a follow-up to the iPad mini. And this time, the mini tablet will have the feature that drums up the most hype, Retina Display. However, there are recent reports claiming that due to various technical problems, the Cupertino company will not be able to launch a Retina Display iPad mini this year. But in a new conflicting report, Apple is said to be gearing up for mass production of iPad mini 2 with Retina Display.
According to The Wall Street Journal, we might actually see the iPad 2 with Retina Display this year. This is opposed to the ongoing rumors that no iPad mini with Retina Display will come out in 2013. The rumors claim it will be an iPad mini with a better processor but no Retina Display.
Apple Inc.’s suppliers are gearing up for mass production of a new iPad mini in the fourth quarter that will likely feature a high-resolution screen from Samsung, people familiar with the matter say, an indication of the difficulty the U.S. company faces in its attempt to reduce its dependence on its biggest rival. Apple is working with suppliers in Asia on its next iPad mini with a high-resolution “retina” display, unlike the current iPad mini that comes with a lower-resolution screen, the people said.
It would make the most sense if Apple releases an iPad mini 2 with Retina Display. When the original device was released, people have been praising the device but saying that the lack of Retina Display was really a downer. An iPad mini 2 without Retina is simply not the best option as of now for Apple. This is especially true when there are new tablets such as the Nexus 7 that comes with HD display.Contact Us for News Tips, Corrections and Feedback
