While the world is wrapped in eager anticipation for the unveiling of new iDevices in the upcoming iPhone event on September 10, Apple sure is busy behind the scenes as the company irons out all aspects of iOS 7 just in time for primetime release. Just last week, Apple released an emergency patch in the form of iOS 7 beta 6, which fixes an issue with iTunes in the Cloud. According to BGR, Apple will again seed iOS 7 beta 7 to developers today.
If anyone can recall, BGR has previously reported that iOS 7 beta 6 will be released today, Monday. However, to everyone's surprise, Apple had released iOS 7 beta 6 ahead of schedule, which as mentioned was an emergency fix. But today, if BGR's report turned out to be true, another beta build will be seeded to developers.
We are told by our trusted sources that Apple has once again seeded a new build of iOS 7 to partners, and that it should be released to developers later today. We can confirm the build number is much higher than the previous beta, and we would assume that iOS 7 beta 7 should be distributed and made available for developers around 1:00 p.m. EDT, as usual.
In the previous report, BGR also claimed that iOS 7 beta 7 (previously beta 6) will be the final beta build to be released before the golden master build. Apple is expected to seed iOS 7 GM to carrier partners and internal groups starting September 5, and will likely be released to developers on September 10, on the day of the upcoming iPhone media event.
On September 10, the world will get to get a first glimpse of the next iPhone (and possibly the new entry-level one). It is then expected to go on sale on September 20.Contact Us for News Tips, Corrections and Feedback
