P0sixninja Claims to Have Found Exploits to Make iOS 6.1.3 Jailbreak Possible

With the release of the iOS 6.1.3, it was confirmed Apple has successfully killed the iOS 6 jailbreak, which was made possible by the Evad3rs team. Of course, you know the drill if you don't want to lose your pre-iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak. However, it seems there are still folks who accidentally update their device and thus, lost their jailbreak. So, most of their question, when will the iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak drop? Well, the leader of the now defunct Chronic-Dev Team P0sixninja has something to say about that.

Joshua Hill P0sixninja

At this point, it's likely that the Evad3rs team is pretty much done with finding jailbreak exploits and would rather wait for the release of the next major iOS iteration before doing anything significant. However, this doesn't stop Joshua Hill, otherwise known as P0sixninja, from picking up the slack. In case you don't know, P0sixninja is a significant contributor to the jailbreak scene. He's responsible for creating jailbreak tools like GreenPois0n, Absinthe and Cdev reporter. However, recently, he announced that the Chronic-Dev Team is no more and he just went inactive.

But now, it seems that P0sixninja is back in the game. According to his recent tweets, Joshua Hill has found all the needed exploits in order to pave the way for the next jailbreak (which could be the iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak). With these exploits, he boldly states chances are high that he will be the one creating the next jailbreak. It is unclear, however, if these exploits will make way for a bootrom jailbreak (like the limera1n exploit) or it is simply a one-time only type like Evasi0n.

At this point, we can only just hope that it's indeed a bootrom exploit that will work for future firmware versions and hardware. However, a bootrom exploit hasn't been made possible for the longest time now, so it's best to be cautiously optimistic. Nevertheless, this is quite an exciting news and hopefully, this indeed paves the way for the iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak.

Finally, I found an author who writes articles about the scene and actually knows what they are talking about; because all the pointless posts about this subject I could seriously do without. Just wanted to let you know since no one else commented that your article was a breathe of fresh air from the bs that other bloggers post.
