Talks about a budget iPhone have been in the rumor mill since last year. In fact, there seems to be a relentless number of reports regarding a cheaper iPhone. In order to penetrate the entry-level and developing countries' markets, Apple is allegedly incorporating budget iPhones on its product plans. According to the floating rumors, the cheaper iPhone will launch alongside the next-gen Apple handset, the iPhone 5S. At this point, there is still no leaked components of the purported cheaper iPhone, so not many people have an idea of what it's going to look like. Fortunately, there are concept designers.
In order to make the iPhone more "affordable" and possible, Apple will need to administer some cost-cutting measures. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, Apple is working on a cheaper iPhone and that it will utilize a plastic casing and be offered in many different colors, like the iPod touch 5. With that in mind, Dutch website iCulture has collaborated with acclaimed designer Martin Hajek, in order to bring the budget iPhone into life. The design of the budget iPhone is still quite hard to predict which is why the concept is made entirely from the floating rumors.
As you can see from the renders, the cheaper iPhone design is created in multiple colors. The render depicts the device to be covered in polycarbonate body, just like what the rumors have been indicating. As you may noticed, the devices rendered come in different screen sizes. Hajek decided to go with two of the most talked about formats: a 4-inch (red) and a 4.5-inch (blue).
I must say that the rendering is very realistic and design doesn't look too bad for a cheaper iPhone. However, there is still no conclusive evidence that Apple will be introducing a budget iPhone. We'll just have to wait and see. [via iPhoneClub]Contact Us for News Tips, Corrections and Feedback
