With the year 2013 making its way, it is now an open season for rumors about anything Apple. If you have been keeping tabs on rumors and speculations as of late, you will know that the current hot topic is the next generation iPhone. Majority of the rumors circulating as of late indicates that the next iPhone will be taking the iPhone 5S designation, which of course could easily end up very wrong. And now a new rumor has resurfaced about the iPhone 5S. According to an analyst, the iPhone 5S will be releasing with multiple color options and two different display sizes.
After hitting an all-time high record in September, Apple stocks have plummeted by more than 25% and as 2012 ended, it has yet touched new lows. According to Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White, he predicts that with Apple's strong portfolio, a new iPhone 5S, and reversing the negative news about the company, the stocks will rise again in 2013. White believes that "tax-related selling" was largely to blame for the downward trend that Apple's stock price has be experience. The release of a new iPhone will help Apple not just recover but dominate altogether.
White proceeds to speculate that with the iPhone 5S, customers will be given more options. So what sort of options are these? White is fairly certain that the Cupertino company will release a new iPhone with varying colors and sizes.
We believe there is still plenty to look forward to at Apple, including the potential for greater choices (i.e., colors, sizes) around the next iPhone in 2013, combined with accelerating momentum with the iPad mini and continued strength with the iPad franchise at large.
Apparently, White has been checking with Apple's suppliers from whom he confirmed that the next iPhone will be a large departure from what customers are used to. White also writes in his note that the next-gen iPhone will begin its production schedule in around March or April and it will go on sale on May or June.
This entails an expansion in both the color patterns and screen sizes with the next iPhone (i.e., likely called the iPhone 5S) that we currently believe will be launched in May/June with certain supply production starting in March/April.
Basically, the next iPhone will come in five different colors: pink, yellow, blue, white & silver and black & slate. This is not exactly too far-fetched when Apple has already offered multiple colors for the latest-gen iPod touch. More option is always good for customers. For the first time however, Apple reportedly will release the iPhone 5S in two different screen sizes. White suggests that Apple can benefit from this as it can help the company better address emerging markets using a cheaper iPhone.
