That's right folks, once again the world might fall prey to an ancient evil and once again, you can enlist and embark on an epic adventure to save the world. Final Fantasy IV will have you fill the shoes of Cecil on his quest to save the legendary crystals, fight various monsters and bosses, you know the drill. One of the best pieces of news is that Final Fantasy IV for iOS is a universal app. So if you are planning to get this game on multiple devices, you will be happy to know that you won't have to pay separately for an iPad and iPhone versions. It is worth noting that this is pretty much the same as the Nintendo DS version which was released way back when. However, it has been optimized to work great with all supported iOS devices including the iPhone 5's 4-inch display.

Like most Square Enix games found in the App Store, Final Fantasy IV is offered at a fairly steep price, at least by App Store standards. In a sea of $0.99 iPhone apps, it is understandable that most people would find the $15.99 asking price a bit too expensive. However, as with most Square Enix games, Final Fantasy IV is an extremely lengthy game that you're not just going to finish in one, two, or three sittings. We're talking about a game that is easily 20-25 hours long, and that's not counting all the secrets that could extend your playtime even further. To get yourself pumped up, check out this trailer for Final Fantasy IV for iOS:

I've played Final Fantasy IV both on the SNES and Nintendo DS (which is basically the original and remake versions of the game), and I can say that this is one of the best Final Fantasy games ever made. If you consider yourself an RPG fan, then do yourself a favor and get Final Fantasy IV for iOS.
