We could only guess the shape of the iPad mini from the cases available on the web. Until now: a mockup of the smaller version iPad has been leaked by Apple.pro, which are the first images featuring a fully assembled device. Although this may not be the final version of the iPad mini, it can be very similar to what Apple plans to present in the upcoming weeks.
At first glance you can see the iPad mini will have a rounded back similar to the iPad 2 and 3, yet the angles are sharper. The classic keys are also present: the silent/vibrate and volume control button, while the headphone appears to retain the same spot as seen on the previous generation iPad.
The iPad mini features the smaller 8-pin dock connector, as well as a back camera. The Apple.pro source says we can expect for a FaceTime camera too, which we think is highly likely, since the device will be used as a communication tool. In addition, the mockup appears to be an iPad mini with 3G/4G LTE capable device, but there will be a WiFi version as well.
