Primate Lab's updated Geekbench has hit the App Store revealing a totally different iPhone 5. According to multiple reports, the new Geekbench build shows the iPhone 5's A6 processor clocked at 1.3GHz.
According to John Poole of Primate Labs, the updated testing app features a dramatically improved processor frequency detection algorithm that consistently reports the A6's frequency as 1.3GHz. This paints a totally different iPhone 5 which had a warm welcome with 5 million devices sold in just 72 hours, as Apple and the first Geekbench tests reported a clock speed of around 1GHz. As Poole highlights, the app had troubles determining the A6's frequency, which lead to the widely spread report of 1GHz clock speed.
"I don't believe the A6 has any form of processor boost. In our testing, we found the 1.3GHz was constant regardless of whether one core or both cores were busy," John Poole added. [Via Engadget]Contact Us for News Tips, Corrections and Feedback
