A few days ago, we've brought to you a report that MuscleNerd is pretty much done with the 06.15.00 baseband downgrade and that the much awaited release of this particular solution is today (Sunday). On Twitterverse, MuscleNerd just announced a couple of minutes ago that the much awaited release of 06.15.00 baseband downgrade is coming today. Back when we reported it a few days ago, MuscleNerd said that there could be some delays but it seems that the team was able to pull through and went on with the projected release window. Just how long will you have to wait? Well, more or less 18 hours from now. Check out the tweets below:
Sunday should be a Funday for those waiting for 06.15 BB downgrade! ("Sunday"==PDT, i.e UTC-7). Blog will have details before release :)
another way of putting it is: should be released in no more than about 18 hours from right now
MuscleNerd also advises users to ensure that they can perform the downgrade:
BTW to be sure you can do the downgrade, check that your computer can launch redsn0w w/o warning about library problems
According to MuscleNerd, the 06.15.00 baseband downgrade will finally feature both working true GPS functionality and Ultrasn0w unlock. This is definitely a great news for those who are stuck with baseband 06.15.00. Although it is a viable option for 3GS unlockers, it is a very buggy baseband which has drawbacks like non-functional GPS feature. This particular downgrade has been teased for more than a year, so it is a good thing that the release will finally come into fruition.
