When it comes to jailbreaking the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, one of the most widespread go-to solutions is iPhone Dev-Team's Redsn0w tool. And why not? It is a very reliable which is easy to use, it is always updated, it supports other host of options and it works on both Windows and Mac. The iPhone Dev-Team is always hard at work to ensure that their jailbreak tool is always updated. And now, the popular jailbreak utility has been updated to a new version yet again. Redsn0w 0.9.10b8b is now available for Mac and Windows.
Yes, the ever reliable Redsn0w tool has been updated and it is now on version 0.9.10b8b. So what can you expect from this version of Redsn0w? Unfortunately, there are no significant changes in this version and the few changes done are only relevant for the Windows version of the tool. According to the official blog post by the iPhone Dev-Team the "update to redsn0w makes the zip files more compatible with the native Windows explorer" which apparently does not like leading slashes in the filenames. And that's pretty much it!
As for users of the Redsn0w Mac version, nothing significant was added to this build but the version number was still updated alongside the Windows version which we assume is for the sake of uniformity. If you are already jailbroken, there is no need for you to re-apply the jailbreak since the changes are not that significant anyway. But it is highly recommended that you use this latest version of Redsn0w for your future jailbreaks just for the sake stability and being up-to-date.
