FileZilla client is an FTP client that allows you to transfer files from one host, to another host. Well, let's put it into more simple terms. FTP Stands for "File Transfer Protocol". A client is a program that will allow you to use this method of file transfer. A host in this case, will usually be a website or an iPhone.
FileZilla client is free, works for nearly all operating systems (Mac, Windows, and Linux), and is easy to use.
FileZilla Client Uses for Websites
The FileZilla client is a very fast method of getting your content onto your website fast. Of course you can also move files onto your website through cPanel as well, but this typically takes much longer. With FileZilla Client, you can upload your files without needing to open a web browser.
In addition to increased speed, you can also upload more than one file at a time. You can generally upload 2 files at a time but can have has many files as you want waiting in line (My last website upload was more than 5,000 files at once). You can also browse, download, move, and delete all of the files that you already have uploaded onto your website. All in all, this makes file management on a website much easier.
