If you have been keeping tabs about the news regarding the next-generation iPad, then you will know that it is rumored to be unveiled next month. A strong possibility because the iPad 2 was unveiled to the public at around the same time. And now we have gotten another report that indicates the same launch date for the iPad 3. More details after the jump.
According to a report by AllThingsD while citing their sources, the Cupertino company has decided to unveil the follow-up to the iPad 2 on the first week of March. And for announcements of this caliber, Apple will be using its preferred location which is presumably the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. There are no details released about the official street date but the iPad 3 will most likely hit retail about a week or so after the event. As expected, Apple has declined to make any comment about this particular rumor.
As to the specs of the next-generation iPad itself, we have gotten numerous reports in the past that we have some of what to expect. The form factor of the device will be largely similar to the iPad 2 but it will be somehow thicker and with improved camera. Under the hood it will be running a faster processing chip, better graphics processor and an HD Retina display capable of displaying resolution of up to 2048×1536. We have even received a report that another iPad will be released in October.
