SpellTower iOS App

But SpellTower comes out on top with its tight UI and simple but addictive game mechanics. Whale Trail ($0.99)

Whale Trail iOS App
I know what you're thinking, another endless running iOS game? Well yes, but it would be a great disservice to the game if one simply dismisses it as a run-of-the-mill endless running. Guild Willow the Whale into a journey that is bursting with colors. You'll be hard-pressed to find a game as colorful as this one. And of course, this game isn't merely all about its visuals because you will also love the solid, addictive gameplay and the endearing soundtrack.

Mage Gauntlet ($2.99)

Mage Gauntlet iOS App
Now here's something for the action RPG fans. This game is like a throwback to the old era of 16-bit RPGs. So if you have spent countless hours playing Legend of Zelda or Secret of Mana, then playing Mage Gauntlet will feel like home. One of the main draws of this game is just how fluid the feel of the combat is and it can be largely attributed to the near perfect controls. And man, the spell system on this game was executed very well. Action RPG fans or RPG fans in general should get this game.

Sonic CD ($4.99)

Sonic CD iOS App
If you ask a hardcore Sonic fan about his favorite installment of Sonic games, then majority of them will surely mention Sonic CD and now it has been ported to the iOS. And unlike other Sega iOS ports, this version of Sonic CD has got to be the best effort of the company yet. Instead of emulating the Sega CD version, Sega America completely rewrote the game for the iOS. And this results in blazingly fast, 60 fps platformer with top-notch controls and soundtrack.

Grand Theft Auto III ($4.99)

Grand Theft Auto 3 iOS App
Of course, this game doesn't need no introduction. Grand Theft Auto III is the game that single-handedly created one of the most popular genre in video games today, free-roam sandbox style gameplay. Although one of the most notable flaw of this game is the overwhelming number of buttons but somehow Rockstar did a good job and providing workable controls. Once you get accustomed to the controls, you will be cruising Liberty City with ease in no time.

Wind-up Knight ($1.99)

Wind-up Knight iOS App
From the land of the Android comes Wind-up Knight by Robot Invader. As with the title, you are basically controlling a wind-up knight on his quest to save a princess in distress. This knight however, can only move in one direction and will only change when he hits a wall. In order to continue moving forward, you will need to collect keys in order to continue moving forward. But this is more than just an endless runner because there are tons of things to unlock and customize your knight with. Just be warned though, this game can be quite challenging.

Scribblenauts Remix ($0.99 on Sale)

Scribblenauts Remix iOS App
If you have ever owned a Nintendo DS, then chances are you have already heard or played Scribblenauts and its sequel, Super Scribblenauts. The Dark Meadow ($5.99)

The Dark Meadow iOS App
By this time, there should be a decent number of survival horror games for the iOS. And if you are craving for more, then you should absolutely check out The Dark Meadow. The game runs on Unreal Engine 3 and it pits you into a gorgeous world that just begs to be explored. However, as you go exploring, you will be haunted by the most bizarre creatures that this world has to offer. Jetpack Joyride (Free)

Jetpack Joyride iOS App
It has been quite a while since this game was released and I still find myself coming back to it once in a while for a quick session. Jetpack Joyride is one of the best representation of mobile games. While it may not have the best-looking graphics (don't get us wrong, this game looks fantastic), it has all the elements that made this game a modern iOS classic, along with Angry Birds and Tiny Wings. It is fun, addictive, easy to learn / tough to master, has tons of unlockables, achievements and customizations. Be ready to say goodbye to your productivity.

Infinity Blade II ($6.99)

Infinity Blade 2 iOS App
The sequel to one of the most critically-acclaimed iOS game of all time. Chair Entertainment's massive hit is back for more medieval style duels. It is bigger, better and offers tons more content than its predecessor, so basically it is a sequel done right. You won't find a better looking game than Infinity Blade II and to make things even better it even supports HDMI output. But of course, the graphics is complemented by an addictive, intuitive gameplay, awesome soundtrack and flawless touch controls. iOS device owners should definitely check it out.
