Now that the iPhone 4S has been jailbroken, it is quite natural to expect that there will be jailbreak tweaks for the handset's exclusive feature Siri that will come rolling in. And just a few days after the Absinthe jailbreak tool has been made available, we are already seeing a few tweaks and apps for Siri. Today, we will be featuring one such tweak for Siri.
The name of the featured tweak today is called SiriToggles by iOS developer Hamza Sood. What this tweak basically does is that it adds more functionality to Siri, which is of course, never considered to be a bad thing. These functionalities come in the form of voice-toggles which controls different settings of your iOS device. Think of it as a Siri-based replacement for SBSettings, well not exactly but you get the idea. Here's the list of commands that SiriToggles will add:
- Find out your battery level
- Change screen brightness
- Launch applications
- Enable/disable Wi-Fi
- Enable/disable Bluetooth
- Enable/disable airplane mode
- Enable/disable cellular data
By installing SiriToggles, you can now control the toggles for your Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplane Mode and so on, by simply talking to Siri. So if you want to do that, you simply have to say "enable/disable" or, "turn on/turn off" your desired settings toggle. In order to know the battery percentage of your device, you should say something along the lines of "how much battery do I have left?" or, "what is my remaining battery percentage?" You can even command Siri to launch an application by saying "launch" followed by the application name.
SiriToggles is definitely an interesting tweak that further expands the functionality of Siri. Many iPhone 4S users will surely find this tweak useful especially if they want to adjust many of their settings without having to dig deep into the Settings.app. And best of all, this tweak is available in the BigBoss repo for FREE.
Before you can use SiriToggles, you will obviously need to have a jailbroken iPhone 4S.
