If you are a jailbreak fan who owns an A4 device (iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 1, iPod Touch 4G, iPod 3G, Apple TV 2), then chances are high that you are already enjoying pod2g's iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak which was released just a few days after Christmas Day. Unfortunately, people who own an A5 device (iPhone 4S and iPad 2) are once again left in the cold. But according to the latest update of jailbreak hero pod2g, it will not be the case for long.
In previous updates provided by pod2g, he said that he will be passing on his iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak to the Chronic-Dev Team in order to prep it for release. This way, the famed jailbreak hacker can focus on working with jailbreaking the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 (A5). And now, good news ladies and gents, pod2g just announced on Twitter today that he has made some significant progress with A5. And better yet, with a stroke of luck it could be made available by next week.
Isn't that a great news? Now everyone who owns an iOS device will finally be able to enjoy the latest untethered jailbreak available in iOS 5.0.1. At this point in time, there is no reason to doubt pod2g's words like as if his track record is not outstanding enough when it comes to all-things jailbreaking. When he says that a jailbreak will be available for A5 devices, it is simply hard not to believe. But then again, it would be possible that he would run into some difficulties later on, so it is possible that the said ETA for the A5 untethered jailbreak will be pushed a bit more.
If you are an iPhone 4S or iPad 2 owner and still running iOS 5.0, we highly recommend that you update immediately to iOS 5.0.1 before Apple closes that particular window and miss out on the upcoming A5 untethered jailbreak. And as usual, we will be bringing you updates as soon as pod2g provides one regarding the A5 untethered jailbreak. So stay tune with us!!Contact Us for News Tips, Corrections and Feedback
