iPad Optimized Official Facebook App Now Available in iTunes App Store [iTunes Link]

It is safe to say that the official Facebook app for the iOS is one of the most popular application that was made available through the iTunes App Store. While the said app can be downloaded from the App Store since day one and was optimized for the iPhone and iPod touch, the same can't be said for iPad users. But good news for users who have been using Apple's tablet for Facebook because now an iPad optimized app is now available for you to download.

Originally, iPad users have to put up with a Facebook app that was obviously more optimized for smaller devices, this results to an experience that is rather frustrating for tablet owners. The un-optimized does not take full advantage of the iPad's larger screen and most users would agree that it simply doesn't look that good. But now, all such woes of iPad owners are now a thing of the past as the Facebook finally releases a tablet optimized version of its official app on iTunes App Store. The iPad version of Facebook comes with the 4.0 update of the app.

From the iTunes App Store:

If anyone can recall, the iPad version of Facebook was leaked into the wild when it was discovered to hidden inside the app's update for the iPhone version. We even provided you a tutorial on how to enable it on your iPad. And when it was disabled by Facebook, jailbreak developers were able to find a way to re-enable it again through a tweak called FaceForward.

When it was leaked, the Facebook for iPad looked great and worked so well which lead to many people believing that the app was already finished earlier this year and it was only delayed. This delay has something to do with the strained relationship between Apple and Facebook. But now it seems that all of that is now water under the bridge as the social networking behemoth finally releases the official iPad app. To download, just click on the download link provided below.
