Unless you've been living under a rock for past few months, then you will know that Apple's yet to be announced next generation iPhone 5 have been headlining the tech news for quite some time now. It's quite obvious that millions of users have been eagerly awaiting the next iPhone because one of the most reported / speculated aspect of the device is its release date. There have been a confirmation from Apple that the company will be holding its iPhone event this coming October 4th. Now if this new report is any indication, the iPhone 5 will hit the stores a week after the said event.
This new report comes from the folks of BGR, where they cited Japanese blog Macotakara claiming that the next generation iPhone will hit the shelves on October 14th. Yes, that is about more than a week after Apple's "Let's Talk iPhone" event where the next generation iPhone will finally be unveiled. According to the report, on October 14th, the iPhone 5 will be released in five major countries including United States, the U.K., Germany, Japan and France. And later on will be launched to additional markets. If you can remember about two weeks ago, we brought to you a report about Orange Telecom's CEO Stéphane Richard spilling the beans about the iPhone 5's release date. He "believed" that the iPhone 5 will be released on October 15, which coincides nicely with this particular report.
Historically after Apple announces an iPhone at an event, it will usually hit the stores in about 2 to 3 weeks. Which is applicable with the last two iPhones, the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS. The reported date was pegged at October 14th which is a Friday. In the past, the original iPhone, iPhone 3G and 3GS were all launched on a Friday by Apple while the iPhone 4 was released on a Thursday. With all that being said, one can only conclude that the October 14th date given by Macotakara is highly likely despite the fact that the Japanese blog has a mixed track record when it comes Apple intel.
But then again at the end of the day, the said date is still a mere speculation until Apple actually confirms them. But that won't be too long, because as mentioned before, Apple has already officially announced that the special iPhone event will be taking place on October 4th at Apple's Campus in Infinite Loop, Cupertino, CA. Just a week more guys and we will finally be able to take a glimpse of Apple's next generation iPhone. Mark your calendars folks and stay tune with us because we will be keeping you updated.
