It's no secret that Apple will be announcing their follow-up to the highly successful iPhone 4 soon, and that is of course the device dubbed as of now as the iPhone 5. If you have been following our blog for the past months, then you'll know that the iPhone 5 is surrounded with a ridiculous amount of hype and the countless rumors that have been popping out everywhere is a testament to that. Now that the iPhone 5 is just around the corner, Apple fans have one question in their mind: Is it worth upgrading to iPhone 5? Well we have an interesting infographic for you to check out with regards to that.
If you are an owner of the current generation iPhone, is it really time to upgrade? Well, AYTM (Ask Your Target Market) has teamed up with research firm PaidViewpoint and conducted a survey asking about 1,000 iPhone users in the United States aged 18 years (and above) and they were asked several questions regarding the iPhone 5. The infographic that you will be seeing below is merely part 1 of a three-part series that will coincide with the launch of the iPhone 5. Without further ado, here's an infographic that will let you decide whether it is time to upgrade to iPhone 5 or not.
As you can see, the infographic does present some very interesting data. As expected almost half of the current iPhone users are using the latest iPhone 4, what's surprising is that there are still about 4% that are using the 2007 original iPhone. According to the survey, about 75% of iPhone owners are currently under AT&T and Verizon coming in at a distant second. As for users who are planning to upgrade to iPhone 5, it seems that 46% are intending to grab an iPhone 5 within 6 months of its release. And based on the survey, the newer the model they own, the more likely they will upgrade to iPhone 5. And as expected, users who are 18-34 years of age are 31% more likely to upgrade than users who are 35 years of age and above.
There's a recent report that Apple will be unveiling the iPhone 5, along with the launch of iOS 5 during a special event that will be held on the 4th of October. The iPhone 5 event is also rumored to be lead by new Apple CEO Tim Cook and that it will be held in Apple Campus in Cupertino. So which group do you belong? Are you planning to grab the iPhone 5 once it hits the market? Or would you rather wait for the iPhone 6? [via Mashable]Contact Us for News Tips, Corrections and Feedback
