Based on multiple reports which comprises of leaks, rumors, predictions and so on, we all know that the iPhone 5 is coming even though Apple has yet to confirm the existence of its next smartphone. Although it hasn't been confirmed yet, we also know that Apple's media event where the iPhone 5 is expected to be announced is going to take place later this month. In line with this, Apple is said to be ramping up its iPhone 5 production according to a certain report.
According to the Taiwan based IT website DigiTimes, Apple's supply chain in Taiwan have kicked it into high gear with regards to the iPhone 5 production. According to industry sources, Apple's main iPhone builder Foxconn Electronics is now reportedly making 150,000 units per day. Manufacturing seems to going well and running at a brisk pace that it could be possible for the Cupertino company to ship about 5 to 6 million iPhone 5 units in September and 22 for this upcoming fall.
Suppliers in the iPhone 5 supply chain in Taiwan have geared up production recently with volume shipments of the new Apple smartphones to begin soon. Production of iPhone 5s at OEM maker Foxconn Electronics has reportedly reached 150,000 units per day, according to industry sources.
Lens maker Largan Precision, touch panel maker TPK Holding, reinforced glass supplier G-Tech Optoelectronics and battery vendors Simplo and Dynapack are all operating at full swing currently, the sources indicated.
In line with this particular report, according to various sources the iPhone 5 have already begun production but its mobile operating system the iOS, has not been installed yet. Apple has allegedly already seeded the final build of the iOS 5 for the company's carrier partners to test. Once testing is finished, it will be by then that the mobile operating system will be installed into Apple's next iPhone.
According to past reports, the iPhone 5 is expected to be available for pre-order by the end of September and is also expected to launch around 1st or 2nd week of October. There have also been reports of a cheaper iPhone to be released by Apple which is rumored to be the current iPhone 4, only with an 8 GB internal storage. But as of now, no further news about the low-end iPhone have surfaced lately.
