Modern Warfare 3 Premiere for May 23 During Game 4 Of The Western Conference Finals

Get ready to cancel your plans on the 23rd and tune into ESPN for the world premiere of the next instalment of the Call of Duty series during game 4 of the NBA western conference finals.

Activision announced via their Facebook page that the game will be premièred during game 4 between Dallas and Oklahoma City which is at 9 p.m. ET (2AM, May 24 UK time). If you're willing to stay up until then (which I'm sure most of you are) you will be able to see the premiere on the US version of ESPN.

We've already had some teaser trailers from Activision which tell us a little bit more about where the game will be set. So I'm hoping at least for some gameplay footage or maybe a little taster of what online play will be like but i wont be expecting to see a full blown trailer from them yet.

This year marks a real battle for two of the worlds most popular first person shooter games - Call of Duty and the Battlefield series. But I'm not really fussed about either of the games and I probably wont be buying them when they are first released. I'm more psyched for The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim which is scheduled to release 3 days after Modern Warfare 3 on November 11.

Whichever game you may be buying, November certainly does look like a big month for the gaming community.
