Dev-Team has just released yet another update of Redsn0w 0.9.6 which now fixes all lingering issues with the animated boot logos. If you are already jailbroken your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad on iOS 4.3.1 using PwnageTool 4.3 or Sn0wbreeze 2.5, all you need is to run Redsn0w 0.9.6RC12 over your current jailbreak to enable custom boot logos. If you have already enabled custom boot logos using Redsn0w 0.9.6RC11, just use RC12 again but DO NOT check Cydia option during the jailbreak procedure.
If you haven't already jailbroken your iDevice on iOS 4.3.1 at all, just download Redsn0w 0.9.6RC12 from the links below and follow our step-by-step guide here. As you will be jailbreaking your iDevice for the first time in this case, so DO NOT forget to check Cydia option during the jailbreak procedure. If you want to enable custom animated boot logos on your jailbroken iDevice, just check Allow boot animation option as well.
Once you are done with jailbreaking, open Cydia and install Apple Boot Logo app from ModMyi repo. Now search BootLogo in Cydia and install as many fancy boot logos you want. If you want to add your own picture or any other custom photo as a boot logo, follow this guide. Do not forget to choose your desired boot animation from Settings » BootLogo menu.
