iOS 4 was introduced in June this year and its performance on iPhone 3G was terribly bad. User faced numerous problems like slow performance, delayed response etc. Apple acknowledged the problems and promised to bring the fix with iOS 4.1 update. iPhone 3G performance did improved after iOS 4.1 upgrade, but overall performance of operating system was still not up to the mark.
iOS 4.2 GM build has already been released by Apple. To see if Apple tied up any loose ends causing slow performance in iPhone 3G, people at Tipb have conducted a nice performance analysis of iPhone 3G on iOS 4.2 GM build by comparing it with iOS 3.1 and iOS 4.1.
Have a look at the video showing iPhone 3G performance on iOS 4.2.
From the video, we can see that iOS 4.2 performance on iPhone 3G is not bad at all. With an old hardware and a RAM only a quarter of iPhone 4, it's certainly doing a decent job with iOS 4.2, so thumps-up for Apple. Again, this is the GM build of iOS 4.2, so expect a lot more in iOS 4.2 final version which will be releasing this month.Contact Us for News Tips, Corrections and Feedback
