Jay Freeman (@saurik) is a member of iPhone Dev-Team and creator of Cydia, Mobile Substrate and WinterBoard app. Beside managing these apps, @saurik manages his own Cydia server to store SHSH blobs which are generated by Apple servers relative to the ECID of your iDevice. These SHSH blobs can be used to trick iTunes to downgrade firmware on your device which is not allowed by Apple.
Comex is a famous Wii and iPhone hacker behind userland jailbreaks like Spirit and JailbreakMe. His recent kernel hacks was used in Limera1n, GreenPois0n, PwnageTool and Sn0wbreeze allowed to do an untethered iOS 4.1 jailbreak on all iDevices. According to @MuscleNerd, he has figured out a way to extend PwnageTool+Limera1n+@comex hacks to untethered JBs for all future A4 firmwares.
@iH8sn0w is a man behind Sn0wbreeze tool which is a PwnageTool port for Windows OS. Sn0wbreeze can be used to create custom IPSW file of a firmware which on restore through iTunes jailbreaks your iDevice without upgrading its baseband version. @iH8sn0w has also developed other useful tools like iREB and f0recast.
Sherif Hashim (sherif_hashim):
Neurosurgeon by profession, @sherif_hashim is one of the famous iPhone baseband hackers who found AT+XAPP exploit which was later used by iPhone Dev-Team in Ultrasn0w 1.0-1 to unlock iPhone baseband 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01 and 05.13.04. He recently found a new exploit which could lead to unlock iOS 4.1 baseband 05.14.02/2.10.04.
Msft.Guy (@msft_guy) is the man behind PwnageTool bundles. PwnageTool bundles are unofficial bundles which can be used to patch official PwnageTool to jailbreak newer versions of iOS before iPhone Dev-Team releases the official PwnageTool update. @msft_guy also patched Geohot’s Blacksn0w unlock tool to unlock iPhone OS 3.1.3 on iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS.
Joshua Hill (p0sixninja):
Joshua Hill (@p0sixninja) is the developer of GreenPois0n tool which is being used to jailbreak iOS 4.1 on all models of iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Though the SHAtter exploit was originally found by @pod2g but without the clever vulnerability discovered by @p0sixninja and his research on bootrom, it would have been impossible to find SHAtter exploit which could now lead us to jailbreak 5th-generation iOS devices.
@Pod2g is a former member of Chronic Dev-Team who discovered several bootrom exploits including 0x24000 Segment Overflow (24kPwn), usb_control_msg(0xA1, 1) and SHAtter. He was the first to tweet the IMG3 keys for iBSS for iOS 4.0.1 on the iPhone 4, as proof of unsigned code running on the device.
David Wang (planetbeing):
David Wang (@planetbeing) is one of the core members of iPhone Dev-Team. Beside his work on porting Android OS to iPhone, @planetbeing worked with @chpwn and @MuscleNerd to jailbreak and unlock iPhone 4 on iOS 4.0.x. @planetbeing also developed a signal app for iPhone 4/3GS/3G to detect and map the cell tower to which your iPhone is connected to as well as its neighbouring cells.
Grant Paul (@chpwn):
Though Grant Paul (@chpwn) is not a member of iPhone Dev-Team or Chronic Dev-Team but he helped other hackers in the development of their jailbreak tools like Spirit, JailbreakMe and Greenpois0n. He have also developed number of tweaks in Cydia such as ProSwitcher etc.
