iPhone come with many stock apps which we never use like Stocks, Voice Memo, iTunes etc. If you ever felt the need to hide stock apps or any other apps icons then this tutorial will help you. There is an app named “Poof” available on Cydia to do the trick. You can hide/unhide any app from Springboard via Poof easily.
How to hide Apps from Springbroad via Poof
- Poof is available via Bigboss repo. This repo is already added by default Cydia repos when you jailbreak your iDevice, however if it’s missing, you will need to manually add it to Cydia. Refer here for more details.
- To search the app in Cydia, tap on the “Search” tab at the bottom and type “Poof”.
- Install the app.
- Run the app, once it’s installed. You will see the list of icons and the on/off toggle button against each icon allowing you to hide any icon from the springboard. Remember, you’ll need to restart your iDevice to make the settings implemented.
- To unhide the icons, simply tap on the on/off toggle again and restart your iDevice.
If you ever need to uninstall Poof app, just make sure there are no hidden icons. Unhide any hidden icons before you uninstall the app.
