Apple unveiled new iOS inspired Mac OS X 10.7 a.k.a "Lion" at Back to Mac event. Mac OS X Lion will bring a lot of iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad features to desktop OS X. Main features transitioned from iOS to OS X Lion are multitouch gestures (via magic mouse and magic trackpad), iPhone/iPad like home screen and a designated App Store for OS X! which will provide apps specifically designed for OS X. Mac App Store will be coming to Snow Leopard soon.
Other features include iOS like folder facility for apps, all-new Mission Control which provides a unified visibility of all your dock, open apps and open windows.
Mac OS X 10.7 Lion will be released in Summer, 2011. Mac App Store is expected to be launched for Snow Leopard in coming few months. Stay tuned for more updates!
