According to Engadget, Apple is holding a special media event titled "Back to the Mac" on October 20th at 10AM PT. As the title of the event suggest, "Back to the Mac" media event will be focusing on Macs only. Probably Apple will show a preview of Mac OS X v10.7, pro apps, new MacBook Airs or may unveil iLife and iWork '11.
See the "Lion" at the back of the logo? Apple may name the new version of OS X as "Lynx" or "Cougar" as Apple has registered both of the names as trademarks. The new version of OS X may feature new file system, more resolution independence, built-in iOS app support, Apple TV integration and wireless sync capability with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. What i personally think, v10.7 will be a hybrid of Mac OS and iOS, incorporating more touch screen interface features from the iOS and more of the closed system mentality. [via Engadget]
