pod2g Confirms iOS 4.1 Jailbreak Using New Bootrom Exploit!

pod2g just confirmed that iOS 4.1 final version is jailbreakable using new bootrom exploit he discovered yesterday. Previously he tested the exploit on iPhone 4 running iOS 4.0.1 and now he confirmed the possibility of iOS 4.1 jailbreak using the new bootrom exploit.

pod2g confirmed this via his Twitter account:
pod2g Bootrom Exploit
For those who don't know, pod2g is a member of Chronic Dev-Team and he found the very first bootrom exploit known as 24kpwn which caused untethered jailbreak on iPhone 3GS (Old bootrom) and iPod Touch 2G (non-MC) models. Later Apple fixed the 24kpwn exploit with the release of iPhone 3GS (New bootrom) and iPod Touch 2G (MC) models. However like 24kpwn, this new low-level bootrom exploit is impossible to repair using any software updates, so Apple again have to release new models of all iOS devices to fix this exploit.

Now the exploit has been confirmed, so it won't take too long before Chronic or iPhone Dev-Team will release a new tool which will jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G.
