All of us know that iOS 4 and iPhone 3G hasn't been a successful combination! iPhone 3G performance on iOS4 has been utterly disappointing. Numerous issues have been reported by iPhone 3G users, the most common is slow / delayed response of applications. It has been reported that Steve Jobs has responded to an email about iOS 4 performance issues with iPhone 3G. Here is the email sent to him.
I've waited patiently through 4.0.1 and 4.0.2, looking for a fix that will make my phone work again. I've read the forums that advise me to jailbreak my phone or use some other method so I can downgrade back to a version of iPhone 3, however I'm not prepared to use a method that is not supported by Apple.
Here is what Jobs wrote back.
Software update coming soon.
