Spirit2Pwn: Jailbreak iOS 4 on Spirit'd iPhone 3G, 3GS / iPod Touch

Great news for all those who jailbreaked their iPhone or iPod Touch using Comex's Spirit tool and now they want to jailbreak iOS 4 on the same Spirit'd iDevices. For those who don't know: You can jailbreak iOS 4 on iPhone 3G, 3GS (old bootrom) and iPod Touch 2G (non-MC models) using PwngaeTool and Sn0wbreeze but both of these tools don't support iOS 4 jailbreak on those iDevices which have been previously jailbroken using Comex's Spirit tool. Spirit2Pwn is a new tool through which you can jailbreak iOS 4 in those iDevices also who have been previously jailbroken using Spirit tool.

Spirit2Pwn iPhone iPod Touch
iPhone 3GS with old bootroms and iPod Touch users with non-MC model can install Spirit2Pwn through Cydia by following the steps given below:

  1. Open Cydia on your iPhone / iPod Touch jailbroken with Spirit tool.
  2. Click on the "Manage" button at the bottom.
  3. Click on the "Sources" section.
  4. Click on "Edit" button at the top left of Cydia.
  5. Click on "Add" button at the top right of Cydia.
  6. Enter "http://repo.woowiz.net" as Cydia/APT URL and click on "Add Source" button.
  7. Wait while Cydia update your sources.
  8. Thats it! Now click on the "Search" tab at the bottom and search for "Spirit2Pwn".
  9. Click on "Spirit2Pwn" and install it!
  10. Follow this guide to jailbreak iOS 4 on your iPhone / iPod Touch using Sn0wbreeze OR follow this guide to jailbreak iOS 4 on iPhone / iPod Touch using PwnageTool.
  11. Once jailbreaked. Use this guide to jailbreak iOS 4 with Ultrasn0w 0.93

AntiSpirit is another tool which allows you to jailbreak iOS 4 on Spirit'd iDevices but Spirit2Pwn is easy to install and recommended!

    Dear, I was trying to download "Spirit2Pwn" from cydia to my iphone 3G spirit jailbreak in middle its given me error that it not completely Installed to install it completely you want to DELETE uncomplete installation or ignore it. What I did "I delete uncomplete installation" to install it again but after some time its shutdown and then not power ON again even I long press power button but its completely DEAD. Please advice me on urgent bases i have all my data on it what I need to do????

      No need to worry, its not DEAD! Try to start your iPhone in recovery mode.

    Why is it always old bootrom only for 3gs, this issue is really starting to drive me up the wall.
