Yup, if you are not fully satisfied with your new iPhone 4, you can return it to any Apple Retail Store for a full refund. Keep in mind that the your phone should be undamaged and it should be returned within 30 days of its purchase if you want the a refund. Apple announced this news via press release this morning.
Apple have now officially accepted that iPhone 4 has severe signal reception issues and they are going to fix it in the next iOS update. After investigating the issue, engineers at Apple discovered that the formula they used to calculate the signal strength is totally wrong and as a fix now they are going to use AT&T's recommended formula. The correct formula will be implemented via iOS software update which will be out in a week for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and of-course iPhone 4.
Do you know why Apple agreed to a full refund for every undamaged iPhone 4 returned within 30 days? Its because recently Kevin McCaffrey and Linda Wrinn filed a lawsuit against Apple accusing of knowingly selling a defective product, adding that they "are unable to return the phone without incurring a substantial restocking fee."
