iFile for iOS 4 Now Available for iPhone, iPod Touch

Previously, we shared a workaround for iFile black screen issue but now latest version of iFile app is available in Cydia with support for latest iOS 4. For those who don't know iFile is one the best apps to access, manage and edit file system of your iPhone / iPod Touch OS. With iFile you can enable multitasking, wallpapers and battery percentage on jailbroken iPhone 3G running iOS 4.

Following additions / fix are done in latest version of iFile:

  • Support for file sharing on iOS 4, it can read third party apps now.
  • iOS 4 black screen issue fixed.
  • Problem of Web Server on iOS4 solved.
  • Thumbnail creation process now moved in the background so that scrolling is much smoother.
  • Improved GUI for iPod Touch
  • Addition of side bar in iPod Touch containing paths of shortcuts and bookmarks to the external memories.
  • Can display files larger than 2GB now.

Updated version of iFile is available for download in Cydia for jailbroken iPhones, however the latest version comes with a price as well. I haven't seen the cracked version of iFile 4 yet, but hopefully it will be available for download soon.

    does anyone know how to break a password on wifi? not to write in guest...

    Anyone else having an issue with not being able to opein file in iFile from mobile safari? I'm wondering if it's a permissions issue as i am also unable to login in as root using iSSH but mobile seems to work fine.

      Install afc2add through Cydia.

    can anyone help me? it freezes when i edit a plist file... is there other way besides w8ing? for awhile?

    I have a problem. Ifile freezes whenever i try to edit .plist files. how can i solve it?

      Usually it takes a while to load for big files. Let it sit for a while.

        ok i let it sit... for 7 hours all night! and it was still frozen.so is there any other way to do that? a download, ive tryed everything i can think of, and thats not much

    I just updated my 3g and an already experiencing bugs. I wonder if this is the case with the new hardware?

      Yeah! It myself downgraded to 3.1.2 as iOS 4 for my iPhone 3G was bit slow!
