Download AppSync 4.0 to Install Cracked Apps on iOS 4.0

AppSync 4.0 for iDevices running iOS 4.0 is available for download. AppSync basically patches the MobileInstallation file on your iPhone and iPod Touch which is needed to run cracked apps on your jailbroken device. If you haven't jailbreaked your iDevice yet then follow our step-by-step guide to jailbroke iOS 4.0 on iPhone 3GS here and iPod Touch and iPhone 3G users can follow the jailbreak guide here. Once your iPhone or iPod Touch is jailbreaked, follow the guide below to install AppSync 4.0.

  1. Go to "Cydia".

    2. AppSync for OS 4.0

  2. Click on "Manage" tab on the bottom.
  3. Now touch on “Sources” as seen in the screenshot below:

  4. Click on "Edit" and then on "Add". You will be prompted to enter a url source as shown in the screenshot below. Type "http://cydia.hackulo.us" and click on "Add Source".

  5. Cydia will now automatically update your sources by following a series of automated steps.

  6. After installation is completed. Search for "AppSync for OS 4.0" in Cydia and install this application. This application will automatically patch your mobileinstallation file on your device.

  7. That's all! You should now be able to run jailbroken iPhone apps on iPhone running iOS 4.0.

iOS 4 Jailbreak/Unlock Summary [Updates Incorporated]

Jailbreak: Apple has released iOS 4 final built/version. iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G users can use latest Redsn0w (0.9.5b5-3) for Windows/Mac to jailbreak iOS 4, and iPhone 3GS users can use PwnageTool Bundles to jailbreak iOS 4. GeoHot has also claimed to jailbreak OS 4.0 with Blackra1n tool, but tool hasn't arrived yet.

Unlock: As promised, after public release of iOS 4.0, Dev-Team has released Ultrasn0w 0.93 to unlock iPhone 3G/3GS running latest iOS 4 with baseband 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01 and latest 05.13.04. Previously, Dev-Team released Ultrasn0w 0.92.1 to unlock iPhone 3G/3GS with baseband 04.26.08. iPhone 3GS users may also use Blacksn0w RC2 for unlock, but it's not an official tool and bit buggy as well.

    hello friends i just want to know how can i run apps for ios4 on ios 3.31. when i try to install app from app store it says that the following app does not support the os. Is there any way to solve the issuer .I donnot want to upgrade to ios4 as it will slow down my iphone 3g any solution

      No Seby, its not possible because apps from iOS 4 & iOS 3 totally differ from each other in terms of calling certain things like frameworks and functions that don't exist in iOS 3.x within the iOS code. There are possible workarounds, but they just don't seem to run & will error you out while running the app. So you'll need to update to iOS 4 to take adv of your fav apps.

      Yep! You need to jailbreak your iPhone 4 first because you will be needing AppSync to run and sync cracked apps on your iPhone. The transfer procedure requires SSH'ing into your iPhone, so i will recommend you to re-download them on your new iPhone.

    it works 100% on my iphone 4.GUYS use limera1n to jailbreak and install cydia then follow above instruction it will work.

    Anyone know why i download all the free games (from website) into my iphone
    and when i sync, it say error and try a few games still the same result ...
    I'm also did jailbreak with the latest version of 4.1

    Any idea?

    I instaled appsync 4.0,Can anyone tell me how to transfer the apps now on itunes.It's says that my computer it's not authorize.I tried to authorized but it's shows some kind of error 8888 or something...Can anyone help.

    Does iTunes 9.2.15 work with AppSync 4.0 on a iPhone 4 with 4.01?
    I heard that it can erase all your current stuff, just wondering before I try this.

    I cant install appsync 4.x

    i just updated my firmware to 4.0.2 and somehow i cant install appsync 4.x
    it says that i need a firmware 4.0

    i cant get it. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I tried installing Appsync for os 4.0 when i click on install it says : "The requested modifications cannot be applied due to required dependencies or conflicts that cannot be automatically found or fixed" can you please suggest me what should i do in this case, or how can i reinstall the cydia?

      It's simple. Go to Cydia, no need to install any new repository. Search for "MobileTerminal" and install the app. This app is made by the creator of Cydia itself "Jay Freeman"

        MobileTerminal is not compatible with ios4 at the moment. Kinda sucks. I should have waited a month before upgrading to JB ios4.

    When I type SU the massege "Host is not communicating for more than 15 seconds. Still waiting..." appears. What does it mean??? Am I on right way or...???

      Well it means that you have not entered the correct IP address of your iPhone in WinSCP settings. Even if you have entered it correctly, make sure you have OpenSSH installed. To view IP adress of your iPhone, make sure iPhone Wifi is ON. Navigate to Settings->Wifi->Choose Network->Click Blue Arrow->See your IP details...

      I would recommend you to use simple "Terminal App" into your iPhone to SSH itself. Its the best way to SSH into your iPhone of you are unsure how to use CyberDuck or WinSCP.

    mine is freezing on "Updating Sources". Hard Reset could not help. IS there any other options or ways???

      Re-install your Cydia then!

      Either use Cyberduck or WinSCP

      1) SSH Terminal.app to /Applications

      2) Respring iPod/iPhone

      3) Open MobileTerminal, and type this:

      su

      alpine

      apt-get remove cydia

      apt-get install cydia

      Hard Reset your iPhone to clear all the cache files. They try downloading it again!
