iPhone OS 4.1 And iPhone OS 4.0.1 Spotted In Pinch Media Analytics

While Apple have plans to unveil iPhone 4.0 on April 8th, it seems that developers at Apple is already working on iPhone OS 4.1 and OS 4.0.1. You all must be very much familiar with the FREE famous iPhone app known as "The Impossible Test", created by PixelCUBE Studios. PixelCUBE uses another famous software known as Pinch Media which which collects anonymous mobile app usage data and present in an aggregate form. Recently PixelCUBE noticed from the analytics data of Pinch Media that their apps are being used by some iPhone users with iPhone OS 4.0, 4.1 and 4.0.1.

As you can see from the above screenshot of Pinch Media stats, 3 app users are on iPhone OS 4.0 and 1 on each iPhone 4.1 and 4.0. These Pinch Media stats gives us a much clear idea that Apple developers are already working on these future firmwares. iPhone 4.1 and 4.0.1 can be expected as the minor updates for iPhone OS 4.0 which is a major firmware release, probably shipping with Next Generation iPhone 4G. iPhone 4G dubbed as iPhone HD is expected to be released this summer at WWDC 2010 event. There are rumors that iPhone 4G will be featuring multitasking, video chat, will be cheaper than its predecessors, may have reduced screen size, a 5MP Camera and many more...
