Windows Phone 7 Series is next generation of Windows phones which was announced by Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer in his keynote at the Mobile World Congress 2010 last month. Windows Phone 7 Series basically refers to all those Windows phones which are powered by Windows Phone OS 7.0. Microsoft announced developer tools for Windows Phone 7 series at MIX 2010 last week. Microsoft announced number of tools at MIX 2010 including Silverlight 4, XNA Game Studio 4.0, Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows Phone, Windows Phone 7 Series Emulator for application testing, Windows Phone 7 Series add-in to use with Visual Studio 2010 RC and Expression Blend for Windows Phone Community Technology Preview. These were announced by Scott Guthrie, Corporate Vice President of the .NET Developer Platform in his keynote last week at MIX 2010, held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
Phone Requirements For Windows Phone 7 OS
All Windows Phone 7 OS users need to have phone with:
- 800 x 480 touch screens including four-point multi touch.
- Snapdragon quality CPUs with DirectX 9 compatible GPUs.
- A built in storage of 8GB.
- A 5 Megapixel camera.
