Apple has suddenly released latest iPhone firmware 3.1.3 update for iPhone 3G,3GS and iPod Touch. Surprisingly, it's not the same version (OS 3.2) which runs on the recently announced Apple iPad. Updating your iPhone to firmware 3.1.3 is fairly easy, all you need to do is to connect your iPhone to your desktop/laptop and initiate iTunes. You should be prompted for a software update, Simply click on "Download and Install" button to get 3.1.3 OS on your device.

Few reported bugs in firmware 3.1.2 have been taken care off in new firmware, along with couple of enhancements. Complete change log for iPhone3.1.3 is given below:

• Improves accuracy of reported battery level on iPhone 3GS
• Resolves issue where 3rd party apps would not launch in some instances
• Fixes bug that may cause an app to crash when using the Japanese Kana keyboard

Note/Warning!: Those of you who are using jailbroken or unlocked iPhone/iPod Touch on firmware 3.1.2, do NOT update your devices to firmware 3.1.3 now. Wait for the new jailbreaking and unlocking tools for firmware 3.1.3, as you may loose the capability to jailbreak or unlock your device in the future if you upgrade your device now!
