Los Angeles Times has published an article claiming that New York Times is working closely with Apple on a new version of the newspaper's iPhone application that will offer video and would be optimized for upcoming large-screen Apple Tablet. As per LA Times, NY Times employees have been traveling to Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California repeatedly to work on this amazing new tablet app.
Apple has been slowly amassing digital reading material for the forthcoming device. A team from the New York Times has been working in Apple's Cupertino, Calif., headquarters in recent weeks, developing a large-screen version of the newspaper's iPhone application that incorporates video for the yet-to-be-unveiled device, according to one person with knowledge of the matter. A Times spokeswoman declined to comment.
New York Times has a history on close collaboration with Apple in regards to the iPhone platform/applications, hopefully we'll get some glimpse of this useful newspaper tablet application at Apple's 'Latest Creation' event to be held on 27th Jan. Other tablet apps including ESNP/sports and media apps are highly anticipated as well. Let's see what Apple brings on sight on 27th Jan.
