Google has officially launched much awaited Nexus One. After weeks of rumors and leaked specification, pictures and reviews, the search engine giant finally decided to unveil its first cell phone named as Nexus One. For those who don't know, Nexus One is Google's first branded cell phone, it operates on Android 2.1 OS and the hardware of cell phone has been provided by HTC.

Phone announcement was collectively made by Google Nexus One team and HTC hardware development team, the revealed the stories and hard work behind this phone, which they are calling as "Superphone".

The specifications are more or less similar to what we shared a week ago, major highlights of phone are that it's on Android 2.1, It's very thin, Has 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, It has animated backgrounds/wallpapers and many new superb widgets. Detailed specs are mentioned below:

Google is selling the phone online for $179 with T-Mobile contract and for $529 without a contract. Unlocked Nexus One is available right now for GSM networks. and will be available for CMDA networks in Spring 2010.
