How To Enable Multitouch On Motorola Droid

As you know that Motorola Droid on Verizon US don't support multitouch functionality in most of the applications, although the hardware is fully capable of supporting multitouch. The reason behind this would most probably be some iPhone patents in US, as soon to be launched Google Nexus One also has no multitouch on T-Mobile US.

For those who don't know, the European version of Motorola Droid named as Motorola Milestone fully supports multitouch functionality, just like iPhone. Here is the good new, now you can transfer multitouch functionality from Motorola Milestone to Droid. People at AllDroid managed to extract and Port Android ROM of Motorola Milestone, this ROM when installed in Droid brings full multitouch functionality in it like zoom and tap functionality in browser, pictures and Google Maps. Have a look at following video depicting Moto Droid on Verizon with multitouch functionality.

As per this video update by ROM Modder, the alpha version of this ROM should be out in couple of hours, we'll share more details as soon as the ROM is available for testing. Stay tuned!
