Everyone is screening web to get a Google Wave Invitation, there are many websites claiming to have 1K or 2K invites to offer, but actual situation is contrary. Stephanie Hannon – Product Manager of Google Wave claims that only Google Wave development team can send invites, websites offering Google Wave invites is actually fake.
Google Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.
Stephanie Hannon confirms this via her latest tweet on twitter.
I myself have applied for an invite/account of Google Wave through Google Wave official web page, I haven’t received any approval/confirmation yet, so can’t say with indemnity that people can send invites on their own once they get Google Wave account or not.
Previously Stephanie Hannon sent couple of tweets regarding Google sending invitations for Wave.

I was also thinking about this. I got a Google invitation last day and had just 8 invitations with that, I invited my friends and they still don’t have any invitations. So what i think is if you got the invitation through Google wave invitation requests you will have the option to invite. Am not sure on this. Anyway i can invite five members more, and read this
