Internet Download Manager [IDM] is one of the best download accelerators as it can accelerate the download speed 5 times the original speed. If you are a Google Chrome fan then unfortunately there is no specific option for IDM to integrate it with this browser. But IDM provides you with another option called "Advanced Browser Integration", with the help of this option you can even use IDM through your Google Chrome. Here is a step by step procedure how you can use or integrate Internet Download Manager in Google Chrome.
Follow these simple steps:
If you already have Google Chrome and IDM setups, proceed to step 4
- Download Full Version of Internet Download Manager [IDM].
- Download Google Chrome.
- If you are interested in integrating IDM with the Portable Google Chrome, Download Portable Chrome first.
- Install IDM and Google Chrome.
- Now open Internet Download Manager
- Choose Downloads from menu bar and then select Options
- Now check "Use Advanced Browser Integration".
- After checking the check-box, you will be prompted for system reboot.
- Save your important work before system may reboot.
- After reboot, don't start Google Chrome, again go to the IDM options and this time check "Detect new applications that try to download files from internet".
- You will be asked to restart Internet Download Manager.
- After re-initializing the IDM, you will be able to see Google Chrome in the browser's list.

I have 3 user accounts...then IDM says that IDm inetgration will be turn off for all members.. How to use for admin member this?

i've made advanced browser integration and also can see google chrome in IDM under Advanced Browser Integration, i can download all other stuff using IDM but still i'm unable to download videos. please help me in this regard.

ya i did the same method as u mentioned but still you tube videos are not able to recognize the IDM

Be sure that you are using the latest version of IDM..

i agree adnan shabbir .. this IDM shit doesn't work with chrome while downloading youtube videos....
Better u can IDM6.07->Download->Options->Add Browser and add the .exe file eg: like google chrome.exe file
atube catcher can grab all types of video.. its working 100% :D
dear mates
all this process are only valid to download files through IDM only from few web sites like rapidshare,megaupload,hotfiles etc
it cant help you to download youtube videos and also you cant see the IDM options when you right clik on any where in the browsers like mozilla and IE
so dont need to make jump across the river
wait until chrome allow the proper integration of download managers

I have the same problem too...i can't download youtube with chrome...i tried to change the options as above but still can't...and also there is also no idm options when i right click the adress...
SOmehow I still can't get the "DOwnload with IDM" option when select a bunch of links and right click in Google CHrome. Anyone know how to fix that?
When im watching video on youtube I do not see the IDM option on the right on side of the video and i have IDM install on my pc im not able to download videos. What is the cause of it and how cal i correct it.
Some versions of IDM do not show "Download Button" on videos, you can simply right-click on a page and choose "Download FLV Video With IDM"
