NOD32
The NOD32 antivirus software by ESET is a novel virus program that provides real-time protection against worms, trojans, spyware, malware, phishing and hackers. gosh…….u left out VIPRE…..cauz u didnt know abt that……..it uses less resources same like eset nod 32 but has a better interface than nod 32 and anti malware protection…..
yes you guys left out vipre which was #1 last year.Funny how its not even in the top ten this year ..hummm anyway i used to use bit def but what a resource hog that prog was..

I think the comparison needs to be improved to get the best result. It’s better to compare only 2010 edition for each antivirus software..

I would say Kaspersky Internet Security is the most effective antivirus software available in the market. Its good for those are heavy internet users.

I think bitdefender is the best antivirus,its real time protection is 100% better than any other antivirus software.
i heard Bit Defender is quite good, but there is no tech support for an ordinary pc user, i think when you have a problem with the software, it is not user friendly. But it’s still good.
You forget Avira ,Avira is the toppest antivirus of the year.I tested all antivirus 2010 edition.I strongly recommend Avira security suite 2009.

Is ALL ABOUT your behavior, if you surf always in Dangerous sites. NO AV will help you against threats.In my Personal opinion. the ESET NOD32, “i use” are just Amazing. uses less resources from PC, and is quite good.

In my experience Bitdefener was a little advanced but still good like Panda/Mcafee.
Norton has always been resource heavy (meaning it uses a lot of your computers power to run in the background) even though it is good and very popular.
My favorite would have to be NOD32 due to its small size, low resource usage, frequent updates. Looking for something new to try in 2010 on Win7 though.
Guys please remember when you are looking at these review/Top10 sites, a lot of them are made for advertising certain programs and not necessarily the top10 in that order.
This one seems to be based on polls, which is a fairly good indication based on a large population of people who hopefully have actually used these programs.

That’s for sure!!! I had use many inti-virus software as Bit Defender, Kaspersky, Nod32, AVG, Dr.Web, Avira, Comodo and so on… and only with Avast I fill safe… second in my top 3 is Avira and third Comodo. Nod32 is nice but skips too much viruses…

I use Avast(4.8) from 2008. But in 2010 i change my Anti Virus To AVG 9.0 FREE VERSION. I realy satisfied with AVG and its Reshident Sheild. AVG is best for me and plz all user have to use this anti virus. Bcz it is free and best.

1. Low Resources usage (Almost NO other AV SW can do it)
2. Early Threat Detection (Even before the files .exe can open NOD32 Block it)
3. High Detection Threat (Unknown viruses,troyans,etc.. They just Can´t against these AV)
4. False True Detection threat (Most AV don´t know how to deal with these alarms)
5. Resident Shield (Almost AV have it include now)
